It’s not fair to burden our children with debt.

The U.S. debt has grown over $16 trillion dollars, the highest in our nation's history. The Obama Administration has spent an extra trillion dollars each year -- money we just didn’t have.

Too many of us are jobless and hurting.

Unemployment has stayed over 8% for 43 months, a first since the Great Depression. When you take into account those who have stopped looking or who are working part-time and want more work, the real unemployment rate is almost 15%. More than 23 million Americans are out of work or underemployed.

The poor in our country have gotten poorer.

We need a hand up, not more handouts. 25.7 million women now live in poverty in the United States. Because of this troubled economy, a record high of more than 46 million Americans now receive food stamp assistance.
